HEDGE & CEDAR TRIMMING

Cedars squared to the line, hedges dense and crisp. We trim for shape today and for the hedge's health tomorrow.

The service

WHAT WE DO, IN DETAIL.

A poorly trimmed cedar hedge thins out at the bottom and browns in the center — often irreversibly. We trim respecting the rule of a base wider than the top (so light reaches the bottom), at the right time of year to avoid stressing the plant. Cedars, yews, boxwood or mixed hedges: straight guided finish, level top, and all debris cleaned up and hauled away.

    Frequently asked questions

HEDGE & CEDAR TRIMMING — YOUR QUESTIONS.

When should cedars be trimmed in Quebec?
Ideally in late spring (June, after the new growth) with a touch-up in late summer. We avoid heat waves and frost. One trim a year is enough for most hedges; two for a flawless finish.
My hedge is bare at the bottom — can it recover?
If the wood is still green, yes — by widening the base and letting light in, it fills back over 1 to 2 seasons. Brown, dry cedar in the center won't regrow. We tell you before we trim.
Do you clean up the clippings?
Always. We tarp the ground during trimming, then full pickup and haul-away. Your yard is cleaner when we leave than when we arrived.
